Thank you so much for all the positive comments you’ve made about my knitting. (Yes, I have made another prayer shawl. I just need to photograph it.) I appreciate the encouragement.

This charcoal gray infinity scarf is very soft. I’m thinking about doing another one in a lighter shade of gray.

This prayer shawl should be arriving soon in the mailbox of one of my writing friends. She doesn’t know it’s coming.

Prayer shawls are also called comfort shawls, peace shawls, or mantles, and may be given no matter the spiritual beliefs of the giver or the recipient. Since my friend has had some health issues recently I chose green which represents among other things, healing, hope and health.

Thank you to everyone for your kind comments on the first scarf. Here’s another. This scarf was knit lengthways in linen stitch which creates a wonderful woven-like texture.

Thank you to everyone who has asked about my knitting projects. Since I’m trying to improve my photography skills I decided to take some photos of some of the finished scarves.

S by S #1

This is a “scrap” scarf knit to use bits of yarn leftover from other projects. I folded the finished scarf in half and added eyelash fringe for a couple of reasons. I wanted a thin scarf to wear with my thrifted jean jacket this fall, and I wanted to try eyelash fringe. (I’m still not sure about that fringe.)
